The Provision of Disabled Facilities in Sports Currently there is no government legislation that relates or regulates to the provision of disabled facilities in sport. An institute, the ‘Inclusive Fitness Initiative’ aims to provide the physically disabled with the opportunity to exercise in accessible facilities with trained staff, among others who are similarly disabled themselves. Since providing the disabled population with accessible sports facilities is not a legal requirement as of yet, it is important to support the organisations that provide it. In doing this case study I may be able to suggest possible improvements to the facility so that other users are able to benefit. For many of†¦show more content†¦The owners of the gym will also benefit; a improved facility will attract more members and make the gym more enjoyable for the members to use thus increasing it’s reputation. Access is available since the club is open to the public. With regards to the pictures I will need to obtain to use as part of my AS coursework the managers has been contacted. They have approved the use of their gym and it’s part in my forthcoming work and have asked also to see the improvements that have been suggested. Hopefully, after finishing this portfolio, my ideas will be implemented into the clubs overall system as permanent fixtures.
